Morphosyntax is the combination of morphology and syntax.

Comments

This term is found useful by many linguists because it is not always easy or helpful to draw a strict line between gramatical structure at the sentence level and at the word level.

Synonym

Sometimes the term grammar is used in the narrow sense of morphosyntax, but sometimes it includes phonology (and perhaps semantics, pragmatics and phonetics) as well.

Origin

The term apparently arose around the middle of the 20th century.
