Copredicate is an older term that was sometimes used for secondary predicate (an example is black/green in She drinks her coffee black (depictive copredicate), She painted the door green (resultative copredicate).

The term copredicate is particularly used in Russian linguistics following Mel'čuk (1974:229), and sometimes in German linguistics (e.g. Plank 1985, Müller-Bardey 1988, Haspelmath 1993)
