Vowel space

Definition

Vowel triangles or quadrilaterals are graphic representations indicating the vowel space or the range of possible vowel qualities, i.e. where in the mouth the different vowels are produced with respect to the position of the tongue and which are the maximal values or corners of the vowel space.
